For the past 10 years, Herb and Alex have combined their internet technology expertise to build three different successful high-tech start-up companies.
Both Herb and Alex have extensive experience creating industry-leading business systems. Herb moved from his executive position at General Electric to become CFO/COO of a $10 billion global technology start-up. Herb recognized the need for an innovative IT expert and named Alex CIO.
After the successful IPO of their first company, Herb and Alex decided to build a new company, this time focusing on web services management infrastructure. As CEO, Herb raised more than $16 million in venture capital and created more than 130 jobs; as CIO, Alex built the engineering and technology platform while developing a widely-recognized industry leading expertise in the area of technology-driven Customer Experience Management.
Fast forward to 2006: Herb, recovering from multiple back surgeries that were as expensive as they were ineffective, began investigating the possibility of getting his medical treatment abroad. Herb liked what he learned about the quality and cost-savings but was dissatisfied with the lack of transparency and confidence-building security practices and business processes in the nascent health travel industry.
At the same time, Alex was culminating a years-long, multi-million dollar IT development project for the travel industry, building a traveler-experience ¿centric technology platform that ultimately was recognized by CIO magazine, as well as receiving the CRM Implementation of the Year Award by CRM Magazine.. | | | | | |
